Seth Bailey

Seth has always had a love of flying and of hot air balloons in particular. Growing up in Sussex, New Brunswick, he would spend as much time as he could at the Atlantic Balloon Fiesta watching the balloons take flight and eventually learning to crew once he got his driver’s license. Seth knew that his life would involve flight, so in 1998 he decided to go to pilot’s school to get his commercial fixed wing license.
Years later, in Ontario, came the opportunity for Seth to train for his hot air balloon pilot license. In the summer of 2006 he trained with one of the best pilots in the industry and began flying commercially. Seth obtained his Pilot Instructor rating in 2017 and is able to train and mentor new hot air balloon pilots. He now has over 1,500 hours in the air in planes and balloons!
Katherine Bailey
Owner / Crew Chief
Katherine was introduced to ballooning in 2006 when Seth presented the opportunity to crew for the Brooks & Dunn hot air balloon while it was touring with the band and made a stop in New Brunswick. Little did she know at the time that by the spring of the following year she would be learning the ropes of running a ballooning business.
Katherine takes care of all of the flight reservations, pre-flight prep and administrative stuff, as well as being the Crew Chief for the chase crew. Her most important job is ensuring everyone has enough champagne when they land!
